Summer Holidays in Crete

Crete is the largest and most southern of all the Greek islands and has an interesting history,busy seaside resorts, pretty villages and charm that will encourage you to explore this island.

According to legend, Crete was the birthplace of Zeus and natural resting place for gods. Today Crete retains much of its character with lot of archeological sites and medieval harbour towns such as Chania, Rethymnon and Heraklion. If you are looking for action, Crete has lively nightlife, markets, beautiful golden beaches, crystal clear waters and water parks.

Car hire enables you to explore the winding roads and pure Cretan countryside. Many hours can be spent identifying different species of flora and fauna in unspoilt natural environment. Stop at local tavernas where you will be invited into the kichen to view what is on the menu. If you feel energetic then explore one of the many gorges. The Samaria Gorge is the most well known.
